Trade: Lester, Johan, Buerhle for McCutchen, Raburn

Postby ohmyyikes » Mon Apr 02, 2012 5:35 pm

Is this a very very bad trade for my starting pitching? Initially I was aiming for Stubbs but everyone says Stubbs will not live up to his potential.

SEND: Lester, Johan Santana, Buerhle
RECEIVE: McCutchen, Raburn

Will drop Raburn for Niese, Nolasco, Floyd, Hughes, or Alvarez. Thoughts?

OR

SEND: Ervin Santana, Johan Santana, Buerhle
RECEIVE: Choo, Encarnacion, Raburn

12 team h2h standard 5x5 non-keeper league.

Here's my team.

C Montero
1B Gonzo
2B Pedroia
SS Gordon
3B Wright
OF Holliday, Crawford, Bonifacio
UTIL Ortiz, Trumbo
BENCH Thames

SP Lester, Strasburg, Gio Gonzalez, Ervin Santana, Johan Santana, Liriano, McCarthy, Buerhle
RP Motte, Perez, Thornton, Broxton

Is this that awful of a trade? I lose almost half my pitching staff.

Do the trade getting AM, then pick up Niese, who is better then Santana or Buehrle.
You are trading bottom SP, don't worry about it.

niese better then santana?? really? can you give an reason cause i have seen nothing in the past two years that niese has been a starter for the mets to make him anything near santana. mets fans are begging for santana to be good this year.

I like Niese as a sleeper.
Had a 7.89 K/9 last year, very good.
Was unlucky last year, his xFIP was 3.28.
Will get 150 SO, with a sub 4 era.
Santana might do something, but i won't own him.

his a career 4.40 era and wont be under 4 and his team wont be able to give him run support. he always has a very strong start but ends awfully but i will give you his ks are good.
