12 team 5x5 Roto; other guy missed the draft and was left to the mercies of the autodraft. His offense is pretty solid, but he needs pitching. I had a pitching heavy draft and need some power. I would love to land J.Upton, but not sure I can do so without overpaying.
I always pay a premium on having an extra free roster spot, so I prefer to do 2 for 1 type deals. I doubt he'll accept CC+Werth for J.Upton. Anything else that might work for both parties?
Any thoughts?

I have hard time proposing trades for other people because I don't know how to make one side clearly "win" without it looking to imbalanced to me. That to me seems fair for both sides who are trying to get something they need. I think Darvish could be enticing for alot of people because of what could possibly happen. Also consider swapping Wainwright in for CC if you think he'd go for less.
Thanks for the looksie - I opted not to make an offer, and will make him come to me. Though, people in this league are notoriously bad at making trade offers (last season, there were 9 trades. I was involved in 9 of them, and I had made the initial offer in... 9 of them). We'll see.
I'm high on Darvish and not high on Hudson, but I'll see if there's any 3-for-2s that appeal to me.
He has been very active, and has already landed Alfredo Aceves (with gambles on Greg Holland and Joel Peralta) (I had taken the gamble on Melancon and lost).
Try CC and Guerra for Upton. He needs a closer and he needs SP, he can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. It leaves you a little thin at closer but you'll be able to fill that later
Upton's unavailable, but Holliday, Cruz, and Gordon are on the block. I'm also interested in Ortiz at the right price, but I don't know what that is. He's not interested in trading for an RP.
He wants at least one of Darvish, CC, Wainwright, Moore, McCarthy.
So, I guess my question is: What would you offer for Cruz? What would you offer for Cruz+Ortiz? I'm willing to deal CC for the right return (but I think I can get more than just Cruz for him). I'm not interested in Holliday for his going price.
