Winning a Yahoo Public League

Winning a Yahoo Public League

Postby Apex » Fri Mar 30, 2012 11:37 pm

So, I just drafted a Yahoo public league, and I'm curious what stats are generally needed to win the league. It's standard eight positions and 2 Utility, and 1400 IP limit.

My projections have me finishing with:

867 runs
220 HRs
855 RBIs
138 SBs
285 AVG

91 Ws
77 SVs
1395 Ks
3.45 ERA
1.19 WHIP

I know I'm probably a little light in SBs and Ws, but is this salvageable?

I would say you are short on saves and steals. You are also down a little on runs scored and RBIs.

Thanks for the input. I'll see what I can do to boost me up in a few places. I "intentionally" waited on the elite and middle of the road closers, but then got shut out of the end game closers in a run. I have a few back-ups that I hope pan out sooner rather than later.

Saves and SB's are 2 of the easier categories you can catch up in with free agent pickups so just stay active on the waiver wire/free agent list. Especially with saves, there should already be some options for you like Melancon, Broxton, maybe Aceves and Holland if they win the closer spot.

I agree with you on the above. However, if you dont' have a chance anyways in the above two categories, then continue to try and bulk up the categories you're solid in.
