VOTTO FOR HOSMER/MCCUTCHIN DEAL

Postby italiano » Fri Mar 30, 2012 5:51 pm

I have been offered Joey Votto in a deal but the price is rather large. Anybody out there make this deal if you had the below team. Votto is obviously the best player in the deal but the other owner would be getting more depth.

This is a 12 team standard yahoo league

I would get Joey Votto, Alfonso Soriano and Jonathan Niese and I would trade away Eric Hosmer, Andrew McCutchin and Francisco Liriano.

Here is my team:
C. Miguel Montero
1b. Eric Hosmer
2b. Michael Cuddyer
3b. Adrian Beltre
ss. Derek Jeter
of: Andrew McCutchin, Andre Ethier, Delmon Young
utility: Lucas Duda, Austin Jackson, Matt Joyce
Bench: Marco Scutaro, John Mayberry
Pitching: Clayton Kershaw, Ricky Romero, Tommy Hanson, Cory Luebke, Brandon McCarthy, Nefali Feliz, Francisco Liriano, Dan Bard, Chris Sale, RA Dickey

Keeper league?

I might do it if it wasn't a keeper league but if it's a keeper league no way

It is a keeper league and I can keep Hosmer for next year too.

I was also offered Prince Fielder, Brandon Beachy and Anabal Sanchez for Kershaw, Hosmer and Luebke.

Do we like either deal?

Agreed. I really don't like the second deal. The first one is kind of tempting but I just don't think you are getting enough in return. If Soriano could be upgraded then I would be more likely to do it.
