I am in a 12 team 5x5 and feel like i need to add one more SP. i wasn't planning on it being of the caliber of verlander, nor was i planning on trading longoria, but perhaps this this deal is too good to pass up? i would have a pretty dominant staff, but is breaking up a dominant offense not worth it? guess it comes down to how you feel about freeman. what do you think, good trade? or stand pat. leave a link so i can help you out. roster below thanks
Id do it. Freeman could really be a monster. Hes killing it this spring also. Not sure why the other guy would make this trade. Personally i think people are overpaying a little for Longoria. No way im convinced he will bat over .250. HR's are nice but if he bats .250 and cant steal, he shouldnt be drafted anywhere near the 2nd round. I love Freeman and Verlander gives you a sic pitching staff.
thanks for the feedback. i'd like to think longoria could hit higher than .250, but after owning him for so many years maybe it's false optimism at this point. also, any concern for having prado, mcCann and freeman on the same team? thanks

so. last year he batted .240 something and cant steal. Even if he hits .260-.270 he is still being drafted too high. I bet he doesnt hit .250 and fantasy dreams are crushed yet again.

I wish i knew you so i could take that bet on .250. He never hit below .270 before. BA can vary a lot year to year with babip.

prado moves to 3b, freeman to CI. but since prado was playing anyway effectively it's a freeman for longoria swap numbers wise for my offense.
hootie are you concerned with verlander's lucky numbers last year (.236 BABIP, career .285, xFIP was 3.12) - he'll be good again this year no doubt, but i don't want to pay for and expect those career numbers he had last year. this is a tough decision for me.
thanks for everyone's help.

Just pointing out some misconceptions. Who would you play at 3B? I think it's more then fair value for Longo.
