Drafting in NL only league tonight, and my best calculations show I'll be choosing between Sosa and Kerry Wood. Any thoughts?? thanks.

You''l usually want a hitter first round. But if you can't get a hitter better then Sosa you might as well go with Wood.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

Wood as:
1) Smoking spring training, I know it doesn't count but, well, it doesn't hurt. I think the contract will give him more confidence which I think is a big thing for pitchers for some reason...
2) Much better support than last year, when he lost a number of close games
3) SP seems a bit weak to me this year. Most of the 'A' starters have at least a few question marks around them. Wood does have a substantially beefed up offense though and, if his stuff is on, he's certainly as dominant as anybody on the mound.
I like Sammy too, obviously, but there's some other OF likely to do as well. If he hits 66, that'd be great but I'm not counting on it for the Cubbies this year.

I picked Kerry Wood to win the Cy Young last year, and I'm picking him again. Wood all the way.

He won't win the Cy Young because he's an overrated pitcher in terms of doing his actual job, but I'd take him ahead of Sammy in this league since the NL isn't overly deep in pitching. I'd take RJ ahead of these guys.
