I completely disagree with the previous post. You are solid at SP. I am not sold on Pineda in the Big Apple. I ahve seen many a young talent wilt under the pressure there. Prior to last year Dunn was the safest bet there was for 40 HR's and 100 RBI's. I think he returns to near those numbers.
Jim Horn is the only guy that has posted a reason for his answer. The main reason I posted this was I would like an idea of what Pineda could "possibly" do in your opinion. I believe Tori Hunter will get me 80 runs, 80 rbi, 20 hr and bat near .280. I also believe Dunn will bounce back.
I still haven't decided but I was curious if more thought that Pineda was going to be awesome and offer a low era and strikeouts. My SP is pretty good. My bench and utility are Ike Davis, Goldschmidt, Dunn and Neil Walker. If I lose Hunter and Dunn, then Davis, Walker or Goldschmidt have to start leaving my bench thin.
Pineda also did that in Safeco, not the bandbox in NY. He also did it with little media and pressure. He also did it hitting 96-97 mph. He is down to 92-93 this spring. He also did it lighter, he came in 20 lbs overweight. I like Hunter/Dunn side a lot more.

i would do that for sure. Sure, Pineda might struggle in NY because of the park, but hes younger, should pile up wins, and has way more upside than the other guys. This is one of the top young pitchers around for two guys people were dumping last year. What makes them suddenly less dumpable? I think its an easy call regardless of your roster, because at this stage in the year you need to acquire talent, not worry too much about whether you think you have "enough" pitching.

sounds like the next CC minus the decline in velocity hopefully he can end up like that lol
