My gut tells me not to make this deal but i would like someone to confirm that this is a bad deal for me. It would create a hole at first base since i would have to move Duda and Cuddyer to 1b and put kipnis at second base and i would lose my number 2 pitcher.
I was offered Giancarlo Stanton and Tim Stauffer for my Eric Hosmer and Ian Kennedy.
Other pitchers he has are Hamels, Gallardo, Beckett, Niese and Jaime Garcia.
This is my team: c: miguel montero 1b. hosmer 2b. cuddyer 3b. beltre SS jeter of. McCutchin, Ethier, Delmon YOung uti: Duda, Kipnis, Mayberry Bench: Scutaro, matt joyce pitching - kershaw, kennedy, Hanson, Luebke, McCarthy, Liriano, Feliz, Daniel Bard, Dickey, Chris Sale
While I think Kennedy is a quality pitcher I think his value is at it's highest right now, Stanton is a beast, think Adam Dunn, but not killing your average at the same time. Hosmer is good but he's not Stanton. I'd say no deal.
But I like the deal as far as value. You get the best player in Stanton, and I think Kennedy is due for a slide after the monster year last year. But I wouldnt do the deal as far as fit for your team. Like you said you would lose at 1B and get rid of your #2 pitcher. I agree no deal.. but man Stanton is tough to turn down.\

Even if he won't, I still think I might pull the trigger. His staff is pretty solid and if he starts Stauffer at home he's looking at the prospect of great ratios, despite the probably lack of Wins. It's a nice luxury to have.
No deal unless you can get a better pitcher than Stauffer and even then I don't think I do the deal. I like Hosmer a lot and Kennedy is a solid SP (though you can expect some regression).
