Good quality and English commentary. Vargas looks sharp through 1 inning. Colon looks to be healthy and has good stuff too. I think both pitchers are worth flyers and will have some value this season and won't hurt your ratios too much. Of course the lineups they are pitching against need to be taken into consideration as far as how good they look. I'm guessing this ends up another low scoring affair. A's winning 3-2.

Eric Wedge blows it. Vargas was strong thru 6 innings, only 86 pitches. The minute i saw Wedge pull him, i knew Seattle had probably lost. Cespedes then took Shawn Kelley deep, after wailing against Vargas. Bring in George Sherril. Josh Riddick goes yard. Vargas should have stayed in for 100 pitches at least. Managers get too worked up over righty/lefty matchups.

A's blew it last night having to go to their scrub bullpen too arly too when McCarthy could have easily gone another inning. two bad teams being managed badly.

This is just a horrible game in general. aside from Weeks making some nice defensive plays and Colon/Vargas pitching with efficiency and command, the hitting has been terrible. I hope next year when they open in Japan they put two more interesting teams up against each other. I'd like to see MLB open with an interleague matchup between the WS winners of 2012.

True. I never get why they pull a SP who is rolling along. I could see if they were at 110 pitches. At least Melvin had the sense to ride Colon thru 8 tonight. Seattle didn't blow this game, Wedge did.
