I am in a 12-team H2H keeper league and was previously offered Jeter/J Johnson for my Castro/Kuroda, which I turned down. Now, I am re-thinking the proposal because I feel that my pitching lacks. What do you guys think?
Roster:
C - M Montero
1st - Goldschmidt
2nd - Kinsler
3rd - Lawrie
SS - Castro
OF - Kemp
OF - Bruce
OF - Ethier
Util - Ortiz
Bench: D Young, K Morales
SPs:
Lester
Wainwright
Hanson
Kuroda
Masterson
E Jackson
Volquez
RPs:
Bell
Capps
Nathan
Broxton
Bastardo

I wouldn't make this deal from a health standpoint. J Johnson is a major major health concern, though he is sick when healthy. I just don't trust him to go the entire season. Kuroda could be a solid starter as the #2 in the Yankee rotation this year, and Castro very likely will dominate Jeter in almost ever category this year. Jeter is on his way down, and his age makes injuries a major concern as well.

SS is probably the least deep position this year and you have one of the top ones behind Castro. I would agree with the above post and hold onto them. Kuroda playing for the yanks will certainly help him and in my opinion he is going to be a very solid pitcher.
no deal

I think you were right to reject that deal. It isn't like your pitching lacks and swapping Kuroda for Johnson isn't going to make or break that. Sure Johnson is better, but it won't overhaul your pitching. Losing Castro though is potentially losing a star.
