lastingsgriller wrote:"willy mo Pena can hit the crap out of the ball" said some other scout. He was then interrupted by a different scout saying that Jason Hayward is sure to burst on the scene in darryl strawberry fashion. Maybe even the next Griffey.

You wouldn't be hating to this extent if you'd seen him play.

I get what you are saying. I think he will be a great talent, but let him prove it in a full year at the majors, not based off of minor league stats and a 150 at bats against other callups.

How many perfect double-tapered crap stories does Lawrie have? I'm betting he has a long way to go to get into Brett's league.

Haha, no, I just dont see him being as great as some people are saying this year. two years down the road he might do 30-30 but this year I dont see it, and Im afraid that people will jump off the bandwagon if he doesnt hit those numbers this year.

If people are still drafting David Wright over him (which I've seen), then the hype hasn't gone far enough.

Not yet. But knowing his attitude and self-confidence, he'll get there in time.

he can't possibly be any good.

You know who else had similar rates their rookie season? Lou Gehrig. I think we all can see where this is leading.
