My SP: Verlander, Lester, Wainwright, Matt Moore, Johan Santana, Ivan Nova, Clay Buchholz, Julio Teheran
I desperately need help at OF. I have Crawford, Hart, and Chris Young. I need someone who can hit HRs. I was offered Giancarlo Stanton (who by the way, I passed on in the draft because I didn't know he was Mike Stanton last season) for my Jon Lester. Based on my pitching, would you do it?
That is a STEAL of a deal. Do it in a heart-beat...I expect Giancarlo to have a monster year, top 10 player. You lose for K's, but I think the boost for Hrs is enough to off-set it.
I almost didn't answer this just simply because I saw you didn't know who Giancarlo is...
It's a bit of a gamble though isn't it? If guys like Wainwright/Moore/Santana don't pan out, I'll be in trouble with pitching. Lester's really my only anchor after Verlander.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but why does it matter? In a points league, does it matter where your points come from? Just get your points from wherever you can. Pitching or hitting, points are points right? If you score zero points with pitching, but hitting somehow outscores the entire league's hitting and pitching, you'll win.
