I think I saw this on ESPN somewhere.

Apparently it's been a dream of Maddux's to play in the NFL, so they traded him to become a fullback for the Bears. It'll only be for a year, then he'll come back to the MLB and do that pitching thing. How about that?

Figured he'd want to be the quarterback or kicker since they never get hit. Lol. :-D

See, I think he's becoming a fullback because he wants to dispel the stereotype that aging pitchers can't put up a good block now and then. Plus, nobody respect da kicker. It's all about the pick and roll, pick and roll!

Actually, Maddox has always been a fan of Burt Reynolds, so he wants to try the "V" for Vasectomy play. He plans on taking the field in his Cubs Uniform, and when the football is snapped, he starts throwing baseballs at the linemen, clearing a hold to trot thru.
