How to set my lineup against this team... !!

So I play in a 10 team, H2H league, keeper, yahoo, 6X6. One of my fellow owners has a great pitching staff and just wants to win one category on offense (most likely steals) and win every week on pitching. I think I have a better offense and am considering just pitching my ace against him (and benching most pitchers) in an attempt to win one category (ERA, WHIP, BB/9) and then out hit him. Just wondering if that's a solid strategy? We have a minimum of 10 innings pitched per week. What would you do if you were going against him?

Do you face him in the first series of the season? If not then I would watch his team and see what exactly is actually happening each week. It might be harder for him to get that done then he thinks. Odds are I would just play it straight up and try to get the win and save categories or something. Maybe I change it up later in the season as I would then have a baseline of what he does week to week. Maybe you throw one starter and a couple closers and hope to get ERA, WHIP and maybe saves.

I dunno, he's not totally lacking in pop with Bautista, Granderson, Lawrie, Zobrist, and Upton. (Though he's got speed, too.) And while it's going to be tough to beat him in pitching (I mean, it's always tough to beat a team that counts Roy Halladay's stats twice! ), anything can happen in a week. Plus, those sorts of strategies have always somehow backfired on me. Personally, I'd just play it straight up and hope for the best.
