I'm in a 5X5, 11 team, mixed league. I've got a decent balance, but am thinking I'd like another bat. The pertinent parts of my roster are as follows:

C-Montero
1B- Miggy Cabrera
SS- Asdrubal Cabrera
3B- Mike Young
MI-Erick Aybar
OF- Hamilton
OF- Cespedes
OF-Melky Cabrera
OF-Alex Presley
OF - Fowler
DH - De Aza

SP - Verlander, Hanson, Scherzer, Buchholz, Feliz, Luebke, Masterson, Chacin

I've been offered Lorenzo Cain for Chacin. I'm concerned about buying into Cain's monster spring too much, though, and I don't want to discount Chacin's potential. I know he had a poor 2nd half, though. Do I make this deal b/c of the weakness of my OF/DH? Is Cain that much of an upgrade over De Aza - or what will ultimately show up over the FA wire throughout the year? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I think it depends on where Cain bats in the lineup. If Cain hits 1st or 2nd, I'd happily trade Chacin for him (I don't think Chacin is that good) but if Cain hits in the bottom third of the order, I don't think acquiring him does you a whole lot of good. I'd likely try and find someone with a good OF and poor SP and see if I could interest them in Hanson. His shoulder issues worry me.

They are both guys with huge upside potential. I have chacin on my team, and personally I don't think I'd trade him for Cain. Cain is on the WW in my league, I just can't figure out who to drop to pick him up.
