Early trade offer.

Postby plainyogurt » Tue Mar 27, 2012 9:43 am

So this guy desperately needs an MI and I think I need to upgrade my SP staff and OF staff??
Here is my roster in 8 team 5x5 roto league. I feel like my SP might lag

C: Molina
!st: Gonzalez
2nd: Uggla
SS: Tulo
3rd: Pablo
MI: Kinsler
CI: Morales
OF: Cargo, Bourn, Beltran, Bruce, Austin Jackson
Util: Ortiz
Bench: Dunn, Murphy, Rios, Stephen Drew
Pitchers: Lester, CJ WIlson, Haren, Zimmerman, Johan Santan, Zambrano....RP: Hanrahan, Storen, Walden, Street

Dont want to trade Tulo, would rather trade kinsler or uggla....But do you think I can get by and trade Drew or Murphy + Zimmerman for either Shields, Kennedy, Johnson, or Lee??

I am not sure trading Zimmermann is the right thing to do. I think he can be just as good as 3 of those 4 pitchers. If you can get Lee, then I would do it but not sure that is enough to get him. Shields is likely to take a step back from what he did last year and hardly see him as an upgrade at SP. JJ is an injury risk and someone I would rather "miss" on than hope on. Kennedy is also unlikely to repeat last years numbers. Zimmermann should get a full season this year and looked every bit as good as those three pitchers did last year.

I agree with the above post however I think Kennedy will be money again this year. I'd try to swing Drew+Zimmerman for Kennedy, or try to somehow get Lee. Not sure anyone would be willing to trade Lee unless they're blown away but it's worth a shot.
