Personaly i'd rather have Gordon over Hardy... i don't think he has 30 homers in him thus season. You could trade him, someone will have value for him. I also like Goldschmidt and I think Pinda will be a monster in NY this season

thanks for the help

I would love to give more input, but with that scoring I would have to really do some research to help out. But as for gordon or hardy. Since it is an 8 man league, if you go gordon, you should trade bourne. Two guys in your lineup giving you less than 50 rbi and 5 HR will kill you in those categories. And even though you have some power hitters, it is an 8 man league. You could probably get a decent amount for bourne also, He is going in drafts much higher than a 2-3 category guy should. Find someone needing speed badly and ask for something that can help you.

I agree that Hardy probably won't have a repeat of last year, and with only Bourn and Crawford (injured) as your main speed threats, you need another SB guy over Hardy. However, I would suggest against Gordon. He has poor contact skills and might not even get on base enough to steal, though he undoubtedly has the wheels. Truthfully, I could see him getting demoted back to the minors at some point this season. Is Erick Aybar available? He's hitting in front of Kendrick and Pujols in the batting order this year, and is in line for lots of steals and runs. I think your team will also do well in doubles and triples, you have a couple guys with good legs.

Your pitching looks solid, though it's hard not to in an 8 team league. However, you might find yourself quickly falling behind in complete games. Last year, Lincecum had zero, Hamels had three, Kennedy had zero, Hudson had three, Wilson had three (source - ESPN Stats), so you might not do well in this category.

I'd appreciate if you took a look at my post: viewtopic.php?t=442447

I am in the same boat with that scoring plan. Most draft rankings Ive seen have Gordon over Hardy. It will be hard for him (Hardy) to repeat the same numbers he had last year. Boesch sounds a steal in this years draft to me. Good pick there.

Must say I've never seen scoring categories like this before, I'm intrigued. ;-)
I would have targeted Gardner with some of these categories. Runs, 3B, BBs and SBs? wow, that would be right up his alley.

Perhaps you can induce a trade with the owner? I'm wondering what his draft position was in a league like this?

I think I'd rather have Garza then Beechy, i'd also rather have Dee Gordon then JJ Hardy. Dee will help you with avg and stolen bases.

I would take Gordon over Hardy. I would also drop Boesch for a few players on that list including but not limited to Garza, Pineda, or Luebke...
