Is this a fair offer?? WHIR

Postby Jase44 » Mon Mar 26, 2012 10:50 am

Keeper - 10 teams
Batting - R, 2B, HR, AVG, SB, BB, OPS,
My roster (not including BN)

C- Montero
1B - Hosmer
2B - Kinsler
SS - A Cabrera
3B - Ramirez
OF - Heyward
OF - Morse
OF - C.Young
OF - Bourn
Util - M.Reynolds

SP's - Price, Pineda, Jimenez, Moore, Carpenter, Luebke,
RP's - Axford, Santos, Holland

Guy I'm dealing with has a stacked OF (J.Upton, Braun & Kemp) but has next to no SP, thinking of offering the following:

Kinsler
Young OR Heyward
Moore

for

Phillips
J.Upton

PS - Lilly, W.Rodriguez, Lewis, Norris, Minor, Leake, Vogelsong, Niese are all available on the wire.

Think it's fair? Or am I giving up too much to to get Upton?

Thanks in advance

Fair offer ... yes. Not sure I'd want to give up M. Moore but overall it's a fair offer.

Its a fair offer but I feel like you would get the worst of that deal. I usually dont say that when you end up getting the better player but youre giving up a great 2B, a potential Cy Young guy in a couple years, and a guy with amazing upside who had one down year. If anything try to swap in Pineda instead of Moore and I would do Heyward as my last offer in the deal. I would try every other outfielder and settle with giving up Heyward at the end

If I do go ahead with it do you think getting N.Feilz back is worthwhile or would you rather have any of the SP off of the wire?

In a keeper, i make this trade for sure. To get Upton.
Imo, i would lose Jimenez for Minor, and Norris is not bad.

id do that last trade easy. upton is the best player of the deal and phillips isnt bad either. kinsler is a lil better then phillips but not by much, jiminez is a one year wonder and young your replacing big with upton. pick up minor and think this trade will really work out for you.

Thanks guys, doubt he'll accept but considering his weak pitching you never know. If not I'll throw in Pineda instead of Jimenez and see if he goes for it then.

Sorry guys, been back and forth a bit

Going to offer:
Kinsler
Morse
I. Desmond
Jimenez
2nd pick

for

Phillips
J. Upton

Don't think I'm going to go more than that. He has asked for a backup SS and needs SP. I figure Desmond is easy to replace off of the wire as a BN player and I actually prefer a couple FA's over Jimenez.

Any thoughts?
