Do I stash Trout?

Postby paisano1 » Sun Mar 25, 2012 8:26 pm

Can I afford to stash him on my team hoping he comes up sometime this year?

This is a 12 team head to head league 4 man keeper league. As you can tell five of my bench spots are of's right now. Would it be wise to pick up another prospect to my team right now. I already have Harper, and was thinking maybe I can drop Altuve for Trout and use Trout as trade bait when he gets close.......whenever that is.

C- Jesus Montero
1B- M. Cabrera
2b- H. Kendrick
3b- Evan Longoria
SS- E. Andrus
OF- B. Gardner
OF- N. Swisher
OF- A Jones
DH- P. Sandoval
SP- CC. SABATHIA
SP- Mat Latos
Sp- H. Kuroda
RP- J. Motte
RP- Serg Santos

Bench- D. Young, d. murphy, j. altuve, j lowrie, b. harper, a. rios, l. cain, j. mayberry
Homer Bailey, b. norris, e. jackson, c. luebke.

I would rather have Trout than Altuve. Whether he is the best player to grab off the WW is a different question but I think I would take the risk. Maybe you could try and move Young and Cain for something now.

Thanks man. As your could imagine with a 12 team league, 26 players per team there is not much left on the waiver wire except some bums and long shots.

I like your idea to maybe move young or cain for possible another pitcher and then pick up trout and drop altuve. As Kendrick should be fine starting every day.

You can hold on to him as I see other players you would drop before him if you have some required movement.
