Beltran-Adam Jones Trade

I was offered this trade today. What do you think.

I receive Carlos Beltran (OF-STL) and Frank Fransisco (RP-NYM)
He receives Adam Jones (OF-BAL) and Chase Headley (3B-SD)

I am in much need of a closer. Is Fransisco worth losing a guy like Adam Jones? I'm also worried about Beltran's age/reliability. Let me know what you think.

I don't think I would do this trade. Beltran is alright but I would be worried about him staying healthy as well. Franky has never been a very good closer and I think you could find something on the WW at some point. I mean already two closers have lost their jobs due to injury and the season hasn't even started. I would probably drop Headley for an 8th inning guy that might get the call.

Yeah I definitely agree with you. Do you have any good 8th inning guys that are possible call ups to closer now? I know it might take a few weeks for the opening day closers to lose their jobs but I only have one closer now, Jim Johnson. Not too optimistic. Losing Madson sucks.
