Bailey, Alvarez, or Chapman?

Postby paisano1 » Sun Mar 25, 2012 3:38 pm

I have Bailey as of right now but I am wondering if I should hold onto him or opt to go with Alvarez or Chapman. Alvarez has already locked up the 4th spot for the jays and could be a good ground ball pitcher.

Chapman is the one with the most upside and talent although he may go to the bullpen now where I wouldnt need him.

Problem with Bailey is, he hasn't had a good outing yet this spring. Not sure if the Reds will give up on him just yet though. Let me know whats you guys think, thanks.

Hold Bailey for now imo. Chapman looks to be great this year though. With Madson going down they might put him back in the pen, but if he's starting you get him fast!

Yea knowing Dusty balls Baker he will probably make Bailey the fifth guy no matter what. Too bad for Chapman though, he seems so much better.

Homer is junk.
Alvarez is better, and Chapman could close or take Homers spot.

Marshall is a good relieve, but I'm not sold on him closer by the time summer comes around. Look up Thorton, and you'll see great middle relievers don't always translate to great closers. My bet is on Chapman closing. So Chapman for me.

I was thinking Andrew initally..... If Homer, I move on to Alvarez. Homer does not compute for me.

Yea I was talking about Homer, as all three of those guys have shots at being starters, Alvarez has already been named 4th starter for jays.

It does not matter anymore anyways, Alvarez and Chapman were both picked up by other teams. Hopefully this one does not come back on me.

Take Alvarez. Bailey continues to be a guy that you "if he could just turn it around" but never does.
