There are currently four free agent OFs that are intriguing to me as big-time sleepers. I am in a 10-team, mixed head-to-head league that is points-based (not 5x5). Our league site has the following points projected for them as well. I have room for 2 and am considering picking them up before the season and keeping them on my bench if need be. Which 2 would you suggest?
Viciedo, CHW (358 pts.- mostly from HRs) Mayberry, PHI (344 pts.- mostly from HRs) - also eligible for 1B Bourjos, LAA (368 pts.- mostly from SBs) Tabata, PIT (414 pts.- mostly from SBs, 1Bs, & 2Bs)
Bourjos & Tabata have the clearest playing time ahead of them. Viciedo would be next. When everyone is healthy Mayberry goes to the bench or splits time in LF.
I'd go Tabata and take a chance on Viciedo probably.
Mayberry can be sneaky good with 30+ HR power but can be sneaky bad warming up the Phillie's bench. Great option play, if you have room on your bench. I wouldn't count on him as a starting OF for now. He's struggling this spring, but it's spring training only.
As a Phillies fan, I fully expect to see Mayberry get at least 450 ABs this year due to injuries and age. I don't see Howard getting on the field for a while, and they'll play musical chairs in the OF a lot this year between LF and RF. I think Mayberry, because of his performance last year, and his flexibility at all 3 positions will see a lion's share of the at-bats.
Secondly, I'd go between Bourjos and Tabata, as both supply the element of speed which you wouldn't be getting from Mayberry. I prefer Bourjos myself, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Tabata finally put the pieces together AND stay healthy.

I really wish it were true, but the Phils were a little surprised/disappointed with how poorly Brown played last year. I wouldn't be surprised to not see him at all in the majors until Spring of 2013.
Why do you think the Phils went out and picked up guys like Podsednik, Pierre, Wigginton, etc.?
