Trade Nathan for Holland? WHIR

Postby jruffus1 » Sun Mar 25, 2012 10:07 am

I am in a 12-team H2H keeper league and find myself in kind of a bind. After Soria went down, I quickly picked up Broxton, while someone else picked up Holland. My league counts HOLDS, so I am thinking about offering my Nathan for his Holland, so that it wont matter who gets the job because I'll then have a closer and a good set-up man to rack HOLDS.

My RPs are:

Bell
Nathan
Capps

Bastardo
Broxton

Do you think this is a good move? Nathan for Holland?

I wouldn't own Nathan, so yes, Holland.

No keep Nathan. While I am worried about him staying healthy all year, Holland isn't a lock to close. Crow could end up as the closer (he was a closer last year for a couple weeks) so don't trade a solid closer for a speculative closer.

Nathan a solid closer? He is a era killer at his age, and i could see Adams closing if he struggles.
Holland will give you good numbers whether it's saves or holds.

Not sure I am ready to label Nathan an ERA killer after one year removed from TJ surgery. Many TJ patients struggle the first year and then come back to their old self the next year. While I agree that Nathan might not last as closer, I am more worried about health than I am his numbers.

I'd hold Nathan. he is more of a lock to give you SV's or HLD's.
