12th pick

Postby silverZ » Sun Mar 25, 2012 9:59 am

What is your favourite combo of guys available at the turn in a standard 5x5 roto league? Rosters include CI/MI and only 4 OF.

Longoria
Upton/Cargo/Ellsbury
Fielder
Kinsler/Pedoria

Then how about the 36/37 picks? This is the area where the top bats are all gone. There seems to be a bunch of the second 3B tier. This is the first place I'd consider grabbing a pitcher.

McCutchen (doubtful)
Zimmerman - I usually end up with him as my CI
Sandoval
Greinke/Hamels/Sabathia/Haren
Lawrie
Arod
Santana

I like some combo of Upton/Cargo and Kinsler/Pedroia on your first turn.
At the second turn you could grab one ace and one of Sandoval, Lawrie or Arod. That is assuming McCutchen is gone by then.

Good luck

Longoria/Upton at the turn for 12 and 13.

McCutchen/Sandoval/Zimmerman would be great at 36.

Upton and Longoria with Fielder being my next guy (big drop off with 1B and I am not sure you will get a decent one if you don't take him)

Zimmerman and Linc/Greinke (Same thing with Greinke, not sure you will get an Ace) or Hamilton (this is all assuming that McCutchen isn't there)

Very nice. Might have been a little earlier than I would have gone with Lawrie but if you are sold that he will continue doing what he did last year then it is worth the pick.
