I think that guy's scoring system is totally bonkers and would not be at all fun to play.

Here's the system my H2H points league uses. It's not perfect, as it tends to overvalue the top starters, but we've used it for over a decade and retention in this league is very high.

2B Doubles 2 points
3B Triples 3 points
BB Walks (Batters) 1 point
CS Caught Stealing -1 point
CYC Hitting for the Cycle 10 points
E Errors -1 point
GSHR Grand Slam Home Runs 5 points
HR Home Runs 4 points
KO Strikeouts (Batter) -1 point
R Runs 1 point
RBI Runs Batted In 1 point
SB Stolen Bases 2 points

B Balks -1 point
BBI Walks Issued (Pitchers) -1 point
BS Blown Saves -3 points
CG Complete Games 5 points
ER Earned Runs -1 point
HA Hits Allowed -1 point
HB Hit Batsmen -1 point
HD Holds 5 points
INN Innings 3 points
K Strikeouts (Pitcher) 1 point

We give out equal points for saves and wins to keep the value of closers high and encourage chasing those guys over setup guys with good ratios.

used this for may years. Seems to work pretty well. We set out lineups once a week, so double starts by SP evens out Pitching. Also, we start 3 SP, 1 RP and one other pitcher (SP or RP).

Thanks for all the replys guys! It's awesome to see how others have their leagues set up. I'll definitely take a look at how you two above me have yours and see if I'll apply it to mine as well.
