Duel eligible SP/RP

Postby IronBird » Sat Mar 24, 2012 3:34 pm

Hellickson was the man last year. Moore has it this year, so let's call him the #1 on this list and go from there.

Starting the season a couple SP pitchers that will also be RP eligible:

A. Aceves (Bos)
C. Sale (ChW)

Who do you like more this season?
Do you have any other's to fit this category?

Of the two you names, I would want Sale.

Luebke would be better than either of those two. Feliz would be another one but below Luebke.

Ah, yes, I forgot about Luebke and Feliz, those along with Moore are keepers in my league. I was trying to narrow it down. Should have reworded.

Sale over Aceves, eh? If Aceves wasn't in Boston, it probably wouldn't be a question.

Outside of punting saves, is there a reason one would really care whether a starter has RP elig? Even in a daily H2h, league, one is not going to find 7+ SPs all startingont he same day on one's roster so there is no utility in that respect. The onl reason wouldbe to punt saves and I do not think that is a good strategy to start the season with.

I didn't ask for a strategy manager, I do just fine. But if you must know, while you avoid answering my question completely, we don't have a saves cat, it's holds+saves because the league is 16 deep, we decided that it would be wiser to award good middle relievers while penalizing bad closers. One fucking inning and if you suck at it, your team loses. So I don't need any closers, just a couple of solid set up men and a SP/RP to fill out my roster. It's a commone strategy in my league. Hence, my post about Luebke, Feliz and Moore all being keepers already.
