Kendrys Morales or Jason Heyward

Postby scorpiorlr » Sat Mar 24, 2012 2:44 pm

Who would you take straight up? For me its a matter of bench positions between these two guys either way. I have Kendrys and I was offered Heyward for him. Its an 4 man keeper league so neither of them will hold over next season unless miracles occur. They currently would fill my bench or UT spot. Both are in comeback mode. I know Morales is in line to explode but Heyward has such a high ceiling if he can rebound form last year.

I liked heyward bc he plays OF, and morales has only played over half a season once in 6 years.

I agree with above...but add to that that I think of the two Heyward is my vote for that miracle. He is a great kid and a really hard worker. Add that to his talent and raw athletic ability and who knows what could happen with a fresh start this year.

Help with mine?

Heyward pretty easily. A year ago he was what everyone thinks Lawrie and Hosmer are this year. He is still really young and has huge potential, I'm talking overall top 10 player potential here. Morales doesn't have that upside.

Honestly, this is sort of a rock and hard place question. I am not a fan of Heyward. Morales has not played in a while an is coming off serious injury. Heyward will play at least but I would not bet much on him being any good. There is no keeper value for you so it is strictly a who performs better this year question. Personally, my gut tells me Morales but I tend to not like guys who come up and regress after a year. Flip a coin.
