No. You have a really solid, young team; especially for a 16 teamer. No need to do that trade and get a lot older.

Agreed. This is a team for the future. In fact, if your team gets off to a slow start, I may look to move Cliff Lee and, depending on the offer, Joey Votto.

As an aside, I am wary of holding both halladay and lee this year (though I like both of them), as that team can get old in a hurry.

Think he would leave out the rollins/castro part? I bet he won't, but that would make the deal great for you.

I think if you do make the trade you would win your league this year.

So if I take out Castro and Rollins it would be good?
Also where else could I improve my team. Thanks again

I think you do this deal.

Halladay > Weaver
Fielder > Lawrie
Rollins = Castro

I don't see what isn't to like about this deal except that you lose a possible young stud in Lawrie and you get older at SS. Fielder is only 28 so it isn't like you are getting a bunch of old guys. And Weaver is likely to take a step back from what he did last year. Go for the title this year and worry about the future when it comes.

I agree that the deal is still pretty good, but I think losing Lawrie and Castro who are both great prospects could hurt in the long run. Castro is a stud and is only 21, and Lawrie 22. I think the trade I mentioned above would be really good.

I agree if he can drop the Rollins/Castro part the deal is even better but I don't think it can get done that way. Taking the deal gives him a much better chance for a title this year and he can worry about the long run later. There are plenty of young SS in the minors right now so he can always try and get one of those in the next few years.

I agree with Maudib. I think I make this trade. Prince is plenty young and Doc will be #1 for at least a few more years. I promise that you can find another Castro or better soon. Manny Machado? Lawrie is so hyped up he is primed to disappoint. Take the proven commodities in Prince and Doc and dance your way to a title.
