Trading keepers predraft. AGonzalez, Braun, Lawrie..WHIR

This is a 12 team h2h points league. We start with $260. Right now these are my keepers (we can only keep 3):

A Gonzalez- $29
Strasberg- $9
Hosmer- $8
We also can use 2 protected free agents (means we can match the winning bid, and we keep player). Mine are David Wright and Beachy.

I was offered: Lawrie ($11 keeper), Pineida ($9 keeper) and Braun for A Gonzalez.

If I accept, my keepers would be Lawrie ($11), Hosmer ($8), and either Strasberg or Pinieda.

I could then choose to use 2 of the following as my protected free agents: Strasberg/Pinieda (whichever i don't use as keeper), Braun, Wright or Beachy.

What is Braun's price? Why can't you keep him?

I would say no, only because having a stable guy in Gonzalez is a good keeper to have to guarantee you some statistics. Having both Hosmer and Lawrie, while both sexy for their prices, might a little too risky. I'd stick with what you have.

What is Braun's price? Why can't you keep him?

Braun could be kept for $38. He can be kept, but I don't see any value there.

It's not an outrageous salary. I would expect him to go $40+ with inflation. I would probably stand pat though.

Ditto, I like Hosmer to have a big year this year but to shell AGon and Braun would be a risk. It's tough to get those type of steady producers in the draft, and neither would go a whole lot cheaper than $38.
