I think you should stay pat. Given that OPS is part of the league, I like ARod's ability to contribute more to that and the power statistics for you. You do need some speed, but I think you've got a better gamble in Cozart than in Headley.
Zobrist is better than A-Rod, imo pretty significantly. The other players aren't of great concern to me. If I"m making a trade I want to be getting the best player - I think getting Zobrist accomplishes this.
2 votes either way. y'all are as conflicted as me. Right now I'm leaning toward declining it and holding on to Arod for a motnh or two, hoping he starts out hot and I can trade him before injuries start to hit him.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
I'd go with ARod/Cozart as well. I personally value ARod a little more than most due to him being 3B and believe he still has potential to outperform last year, and Cozart is a decent sleeper at SS as well
I'd stick with ARod/Cozart. Even though he's pushing 40, I still prefer ARod over Zobrist because if his potential in the Yankee lineup. Plus the fact that ARods first swing of the year (spring of course) ended up being a homer. When it comes to Cozart/Headley - I am not to big on either one, but Cozart seems to have more upside.
I'd stay with ARod/Cozart ... I despise ARod but I one of the bigger misconceptions of him is that he's a fantasy dud, you don't have to pay him what the Yankees do. For $27 million his production sucks but just look at the numbers ... ARod likely 25 HRs, 90-100 RBI, .280 AVG, that would be a career year for Zobrist. And I don't believe there is anyone having a better spring than Cozart right now.
