Trying to land Ellsbury: ALL HELP RETURNED

Postby kaiser » Wed Mar 21, 2012 11:46 am

The Ellsbury owner has expressed interest in moving him, and wants Bumgarner as part of the deal. I think Youk, Brett Gardner and Madison Bumgarner would get it done, but I am wondering if it is too much for Ellsbury.

Please leva e a link for all help returned.

Dont think its too much but your pitching is going to suffer big time. A staff like that cant really afford to lose Bumgarner. its a 10 teamer so maybe there are plenty of FAs

I appreciate the help.

I agree that Bumgarner would be a low to my staff, but with Grienke as my ace, Hellickson as a solid #2, Lilly and Morrow as a generally reliable 3 and 4, and then Worley as a number 5 with big upside to be worht more by the end of the season, I'm pretty confident in this staff, even without Bumgarner.

Grienke as an ace and lilly at your number 3 in 10 team league seems pretty dang rough.

I think it's a bit much. Gardner alone is somewhat of a poor man's Ellsbury, even though Ellsbury had a breakout power year. I would try to make it a 2 for 1 instead of giving up 3 useful players. In a 10 team though, I always try to get the best available player and I'm surprised there is not more pitching available on the WW.

Your giving up too much imo, ells power numbers wont be that high again.

Try Gardner plus his choice of one if the other 2 not both and see what he says
Maybe a little light but other way is too much and who knows maybe he will accept or counter with a smaller part for a 3rd piece
