Strasburg for Kimbrel

Postby chazfarote » Tue Mar 20, 2012 6:26 pm

Hi,

What do you guys think? Stephen Strasburg for Craig Kimbrel. It would be a straight up 1 for 1 trade. Thanks for the input. I feel confident in my starters but weak in getting saves.

In a redraft league i think its worth taking the trade.

However if this is a keeper league, I don't think you can give up Strasburg for Kimbrel, a starter of his (potential) caliber and the fact that year after year and new closer comes out and dominates, I think you can afford to get a closer from the WW or without giving up Strasburg.

In a keeper league stick with Strasburg. I like the pitching depth wow.

Your infield is terrible, I'd deal Stras for a stud bat on the infield PDQ not another closer.

This same dude had offered Gardner (NYY) for Becket earlier, what do you think about that?

(Should this be a separate thread? Sorry, new to this forum.)

EDIT: Infield! Yeah, sorry, read too quick, yeah, my whole offense I'm concerned with.

Honestly, I'd trade some of your starters including strausberg for some offense. No need to trade for the best closer, a save is a save.

Not a chance I am trading Strasburg for a closer. No matter how good he was last year. Remember Broxton, this is what could happen to Kimbrel or any closer for that matter. I am on board with dealing him for offense if you can though.

I'm not trading Strasburg for any closer, Kimbrel included. Not in a keeper league anyway. :-t

This is what I would say, too. Too much upside to Starsburg, and downside to any closer. If you move him, get a bat.

Can you help me land Ellsbury?
