Kershaw - 3rd round (2nd to last pick in 3rd) cuddyer - 15th
Which is the better keeper. Leaning cuddyer for the new park and 3 position options and much later round, but wanted to make sure. Max two keepers per team. About 8 top 25 players being kept. My other keeper is wainwright 2nd to last round. So that is a no brainer.
Also, all the keepers were thrown back in last year. so just now starting back with keepers this year.

I look at it like this. Is Kershaw worth 3rd round value. I think he is no doubt about it.
Cuddyer is a great bargain in the 15th, but knowing its a keeper league I have to think Halliday and Verlander are going to be either kept or snatched up. Keep the stud SP as a great anchor to your team

Yup take Kershaw, I think that sometimes there is too much concentration on getting a good value. If you do that for your whole team your team won't be that good. Sometimes you just need get the best to be the best. I hate the yankees, but man they have a lot of rings.
Now you guys have me re-thinking. I looked back and halladay is not kept but verlander is and so is weaver. That is it for stud pitchers.
This is also a standard 5x5 with 2 utility spots, 3 of, ss,3rd,2nd,1st, C, SP,SP,RP,RP, P,P,P. 12 team league.
My original thought was cuddyer is going around 8th round in every mock draft i have done. So getting 7 round value. Kershaw is a round value but a top 3 at his position.
I originally figured i could get Lee, lincicum, hamels, felix, CC, greinke, or price in the 4th round or later (would wait till there is only 3 left, then pick one)to go with wainwright and even though none are as good as kershaw, they are not way behind. And if i could get one 2 rounds later and then also get cuddyer at a 7 round discount that would be the way to go. But maybe you guys are right.
I also looked back for the exact numbers, and it looks like only about 8 of the top 40 are being kept.
So does any of this make sense, or is the concensus still to go with kershaw in the 3rd.
Sometimes I think of it like this, You can have A or B
A- One First Basemen- 80 Runs, 20 HR, 100 RBI, 300 AVG
B Three First basemen- each will have 30 Runs, 8 HR, 35RBI, and 300AVG
Choice B gives you the better outcome, but your roster is limited. You can't start three at 1B. The superstars do a lot without filling your roster spots.
Replacing Kershaw with 2 picthers who combined are better doesn't make it the better choice. Kershaw is almost irreplaceable. I think you can replace cuddyer.
