Balfour or Broxton? WHIR

Who is the better add for an additional closer?

Grant Balfour or Jonathan Broxton? I'd have to use my #1 WW claim if I grabbed one.

Balfour for now because he has the job. I like the Royals guy (whoever that will be) more than the A's guy to get more saves though. I just can't advocate that you should use your #1 on a Broxton who hasn't been given the job.

Balfour easily imo. He's more assured of a job and I'd trust him more to keep it.

Good points. Anyone else with thoughts on this one? I need to make the claim today since the players turn into Free Agents on our wire tomorrow morning. Should I drop Soria to make it or are we not yet sure he will miss the whole year?

I think Balfour is the easy pickup. Broxton will be used only if he can garnish value as potential trade bait. If he falters KC will not hesitate to take him out of the role. Go ahead and drop Soria, he won't be playing this season from what I have read.

I like Balfour more. Broxton is a big question mark considering the past year and a half for him.

Should I use the #1 WW on Balfour or save it for Andy Pettitte?

I wouldn't want Pettitte myself.
