Need a 3B....Bumgarner for who??

Postby CDAG02 » Tue Mar 20, 2012 9:38 am

Obviously I need a 3B and feel pretty good about my pitching and OF depth. Another owner in the league wants Madison Bumgarner and wants to know what it'll take. He has A-Rod, Bautista, and Brett Lawrie as 3B. Any of those guys worth it for Bumgarner? I know I won't be able to get Bautista without including somebody else. I'm going to cut Teheran loose tomorrow and pick up another SP. There are still some decent options on the FA wire.

Your team is totally stacked. Bumgarner for Lawrie will not make you worse at all.

You won't get Bautista for him. I'd do it for Lawrie first, Arod second.

I would try for Bautista. Bumgarner might not do it but if he is really high on him then it might not take all that much more. Lawrie is too much a wild card for me to want to trade all that much for him and I think Bumgarner is too good a SP to trade for something you are not sure what you are getting in return. Do something like Bumgarner and Butler and see what he says.

Bumgardner for Lawrie is an even swap. Lawrie should be about a 20-25 HR guy, with 20-25 Sbs this season.

I think both players are in for BIG years. Being that your SPS are stacked, this is a good trade for you.

Obviously throw some offers out there for bautista, see if he bites with bumgardner and another bat, or even another arm.

But bum for lawrie str8 up is a deal you should do if you can pull it off.

Well, I tried for Lawrie and was shot down. He countered and said he'd do A-Rod for Bumgarner. Is it worth it, or do you think Encarnacion puts up similar numbers to ARod?

Nope. Look for 3B elsewhere. You could always come back to this trade if you become desperate but I think I would rather have EE and Bumgarner than ARod.
