Yahoo team: "Delayed Pitcher/Semi-Punt of OF" Strategy

Hi all,

Picked a SP in the 4th, then not again until the 8th, then 11th, trying to get the last pitcher in each of my Tiers. I decided mid-draft to hedge my bets on my OF using 2 bench spaces for it, trying to get high upside guys Duda and Willingham rather than speedsters. Thoughts?

All in all, I like your team. I think that your Willingham pick was great; you are going to need someone to back up Beltran in the event that his knees give out.

I think you have enough speed to compete, but I think that you may be able to pick up someone like De Aza or Ben Revere from the WW for a little extra speed. Revere is not going to give you much, but it would fill the need if you need it. You have Lawrie, Phillips, and Gardner, which will allow you to compete in that category.

I think I prefer Pomeranz over minor, assuming he gets a rotation spot, but that is just a personal bias; the kid has a great arm and I think, while dangerous at Coors and the hr allowed, will give you more value. Your rotation is sound, and all in all I think you have a pretty balanced team. Hopefully Weiters plays to his potential. You have plenty of power, but I suppose my only concern is avg. Nothing big, but maybe try to flip a closer for a higher average hitter.

What are your thoughts on Duda? He is out on the WW, and I am wondering if I should claim him. Thoughts?
