Right now I have Pujols, Upton, Lincecum, Hanley and Wainwright. I traded Felix straight up for Justin Upton and dealt Santana/MucCutchen for a swap of 5th and 8th round draft picks.
Long story short, here are the best players now available for me to draft. I have the 6th overall pick and the 10th overall pick. I'm thinking of trading my 10th overall pick and moving up to the 2nd overall pick. With picks 2 and 6 I think I could snag two big time pitchers like Haren/Cain. The cost of that trade would probably be me moving up the 8 spots and losing 18 spots a few rounds later.
1. Do you do the trade and move up? If so who do you take? 2. Who do you aim for at 6 AND 10?
BATS: Gordon, Alex LF KC Holliday, Matt LF STL Zobrist, Ben 2B TB Young, Chris CF ARI Victorino, Shane CF PHI Choo, Shin-Soo RF CLE Bruce, Jay RF CIN Swisher, Nick RF NYY Berkman, Lance RF STL Pence, Hunter RF PHI Butler, Billy DH KC Ortiz, David DH BOS Uggla, Dan 2B ATL Konerko, Paul 1B CHW Weeks, Rickie 2B MIL Bourn, Michael CF ATL
PITCH: Haren, Dan SP LAA Gallardo, Yovani SP MIL Garza, Matt SP CHC Romero, Ricky SP TOR Hudson, Daniel SP ARI Santana, Ervin SP LAA Gonzalez, Gio SP WAS Jimenez, Ubaldo SP CLE Latos, Mat SP CIN Cain, Matt SP SF Beckett, Josh SP BOS Sanchez, Anibal SP MIA Darvish, Yu SP TEX Bumgarner, Madison SP SF Johnson, Josh SP MIA Hanson, Tommy SP ATL
With all of those arms left, I would not reach for two starters here. I like Haren a lot this season too, but if for some crazy reason Holliday is still there you need to pounce. I would love to get Holliday, Haren or Bruce. I would pass on Cain and 'settle' on Bumgarner or Gallardo later. I think that you have a good chance to get Bruce (unless Haren/Holliday was there) with the 6a and maybe Zobrist with 6b. I would then look for Gallardo or Bumgarner when it comes back.
I don't think I would trade your picks. There is a lot of talent in the draft so moving up doesn't really benefit you all that much. First pick I would look to get Holliday/Haren then I would look at Pence/Gallardo.

If I keep 6 and 10, from talking to people I would imagine that the first 5 taken are:
Holliday Haren Cain Gallardo Bumgarner
Then what? I'm not interested reach for Josh Johnson? Settle for Hudson? I'm just not sure I'm a fan of either of those which is why i'm strongly considering a move up in the draft to make sure I can secure a Holliday or Haren.

Then you take Jay Bruce and do a fist-pump. Candidates for 10th overall pick: Latos, Darvish, Zobrist.

Bruce isn't worth a 5th rounder. In H2H points, consistenty is key. The guy is too streak right now. Way to many K's.
We're also entering the era of dominant pitchers. Good pitchers are back to beating good bats. I'm going to do the trade, have the #2 overall, and guarantee that I add a quality arm, possibly two. Then in the 6th, where the spot is more appropriate, I'll use a pick on a bat.
You have five: Pujols, Upton, Lincecum, Hanley and Wainwright But you can keep 4? Trade Wainwright for another pick.
I like them in this order if it's H2H, with possibly adding Bourn at the end so you secure a cat win with Stolen Bases 90% of the weeks. Holliday, Matt LF STL Pence, Hunter RF PHI Bruce, Jay RF CIN Uggla, Dan 2B ATL
Pitchers I'd go: Bumgarner, Madison SP SF Hudson, Daniel SP ARI Haren, Dan SP LAA Cain, Matt SP SF Latos, Mat SP CIN
He is right about Bruce in a points league. He strikes out too much to be worth taking over a pitcher. I traded him away in most of my points leagues because I am not sure he will ever be worth starting.
If starters are what you want, then make the move up and grab Haren or Gallardo.
