So last night I managed to participate in my first-ever fantasy baseball draft with little knowledge about the game, and drafted this little team:

RP- Heath Bell
RP- Jordan Walden

P- Gio Gonzalez

I would highly appreciate any of you analyzing my team and pointing out its flaws! I'm very new to this game and I have so much to learn!

Pretty good team, looks like you'll need some help in avg and SB's. Try to get 1 more starting pitcher instead of your bench outfielders.

I'm trying to dump Alexi Ogando and Carlos Quentin at the moment. What do you think I should do with these guys? Do you think I can get an okay SP for Quentin? What the hell do I do with Ogando? I drafted him under the false assumption that he is going to start this season.

not bad. I would drop Ogando and pick up Greg Holland for a shot at some saves. Maybe down the road trade a closer for a SP or what mikekim said, lose one of those bench OF (Belt or Quentin) for a pitcher off the wire.

you're probably going to struggle getting SB's but you'll most likely be able to find some in free agency too. Guys like Ben Revere, Angel Pagan, Jason Bourgeois if he get's some playing time in KC now that he got traded. keep an eye out

In a 12 team league w/ Yahoo public league settings, I doubt you'll get much for Quentin now that he's hurt.

I would dump him for the best available SP
