Hello everyone, I'm trying to acquire three prospects (trying to get all three If I can), these prospects are:
Jerry Sands José Tabata J.D. Martinez.
The other owner said he was willing to trade them, and that he needed starting pitchers, so my question is, who could I trade to obtain one of them (preferred If I can get all three) with out giving to much. This is my third year playing fantasy baseball, but my first time playing in a keepers league, so I'm new to how prospect numbers translate, and how well of a MLB player to give up for some prospects. So here's my list of pitchers:
Bailey, Andrew Balfour, Grant Carpenter, Chris Harrison, Matt Hellickson, Jeremy Lester, Jon Moore, Matt Nathan, Joe Wilson, C.J.
Bench Baker, Scott Billingsley, Chad
So who should I trade to obtain those players? Thanks for reading, and sorry for the long post, thanks.
Moore should net all three, but he's quite a chip. Hellickson could net at least two if the guy likes name value. You could try to pump him up, though, considering he was highly touted not too long ago. I would try Hellickson first for all three, then whittle it down to two if need be.
14 teams, your'e not interested in Sands, he's hit 35, and 29 homers the past 2 seasons, and he's only 24, what about Brett Jackson? I wouldn't mind giving up Hellickson, but does anyone really think I could get at least two for Harrison, as I would rather keep Hellickson, unless I could get J.D, Sands, and Jackson/Tabata, thanks.
I think you could at least get two for Hellickson. I would ask for all 3 for him and go from there. You could always trade Moore for all 3 but I'd rather keep Moore in that situation. I wouldn't trade more than one for Harrison if I were the other guy but you might be able to get two if the other guy is that desperate.
If you could move one of your closers for a couple of them, that is they way I would go. I think Hellickson is still a pretty good pitcher so i wouldn't trade him for a bunch of maybe prospects.

Thanks MaudDib, but he has 2 pitchers that have a definite role as closing, but 3 other pitchers that are setup men who could be closers, so he only has 2-3 starters which is why he probably wouldn't take a closer, but thanks for the reply.

I would target JD as well. The others are decent, but JD could be a very nice get for you as soon as this season. I would deal Harrison, Billingsley or Baker for him in a heartbeat.
