Knowing that the guy took Lawrie in the 4th round, what do you think would get him? The guy is really weak at closer and SP, but my starters are nothing great
My Team: C - J.Lucroy 1B - A.Pujols 2B - R.Weeks 3B - M.Reynolds SS - I.Desmond OF - G.Stanton OF - M.Bourn OF - S.Choo U - P.Konerko
B - D.Fowler, E.Encarnacion, Y.Escobar, C.Rasmus, J.Altuve, L.Chisenhall
SP - C.C Sabathia SP - A.Wainwright SP - J.Garcia SP - T.Cahill SP - T.Stauffer SP - R.Nolasco RP - J.Walden RP - J.Soria RP - S.Santos
I would pass on this. Two weeks ago I was super high on David Wright having a bounceback year and would have told you your proposal is not bad but try to get more. But Wright is already hurt and its a similar injury to the one Ryan Zimmerman tried to play through and then ended up having to get surgery on. You can trade Pujols for Wright, a guy who would be trying to have a bounce back year and is already injured, Lawrie a stud prospect, but realistically unproven and Garza who is a nice pitcher but not an ace.
Hold on to the Machine.
BTW in a 14 team league your pitching is pretty good.
There is no value whatsoever in that trade. Wright is hurt and will disappoint at least for the first few months...so I'd wait until June and then you could buy low on Wright if you really wanted to.
As far as Lawrie goes, if the owner was willing to take him 3-4 rounds before he should have gone, then I don't think there is any reasonable trade you could offer him that would net you Lawrie.
I actually do like Garza a lot this year, and I think he would be great as a fantasy #4 or #5, but is an afterthought in a trade involving Pujols.
Stay away.

I don't hate the trade. It has a good chance of blowing up on you as Lawrie could have a Heyward type year and Wright could deal with injuries all year. But it also has a chance of being a really good move if Pujols continues his decline and Lawrie has a Braun like career and Wright goes back to 30+ HR with the fences moving back in.
I would probably not do it but if you really like these guys and are sure they will have solid years then do it. Part of fantasy is taking risks. This is pretty decent value and honestly I am not sure the guy who owns Lawrie would even accept it.
