I'm in a H2H, 16 team keeper league. You only get to keep 5 players, and I traded one of my keeper picks for the 4th overall non-keeper pick (6th round overall). For my 4 keepers the main guys to pick from are as follows:
C- Jesus Montero 1- Paul Goldschmidt 1- Mark Trumbo SS- Derek Jeter LF/CF- Melky Cabrera CF- Chris Young 1/2/RF- Michael Cuddyer SP- Tim Lincecum
I was planning on keeping Lincecum, Montero, Goldschmidt, and Cabrera, however I was offered the following trade:
Tim Lincecum for Michael Pineda, Ben Zobrist, and a 9th round pick.
While 9th round seems pretty high, remember we're a 16 team league and have 22 rounds.
I could then keep Pineda, Zobrist, Montero, and Goldschmidt or Young.
Is the trade worth it? I need to know by Friday morning. Thanks guys!
Yeah, I wanted Pineda, Zobrist, and an 8th round pick but he wouldn't budge. There's also the chance that he isn't going to keep Pineda or Zobrist and they'll be availabe at the 4th pick in the 6th round (my first draft pick).
Pass in the trade, Lincecum is the best player in the trade and with the yankee rotation so full you never know, Pineda might get send to the minors. CC, Kuroda, Nova, Garcia look like locks so its between Pineda and Hughes and thats a risk i wont take.
