Posey or Mauer

You are correct, average can be variable in a given year, do to babip.
I like Posey. The extra power should boost rbis, and it's not like Posey can't hit for a good average.
Unless Mauer gets 500 abs, his impact in average drops some.

I agree with this. I think Mauer is still getting by because of his numbers a few years ago. He is a decent C with a lot of injury risk. I think Posey has more upside and is safer.

Posey would be my pick easily. If Mauer played on the Rangers I would give him the nod, but Target Field + horrible lineup =

Id be tempted to go with Mauer as he will have an up year and you can pick up power else where, I like a relible AVG at C.
At the same point in the draft I would chose Posey though, just a little more upside.
If you could wait a round to grab Mauer then that might just be the difference

I would rather have Posey, but I am not jumping on either in a draft unless they far quite a bit further then I have been seeing them be gobbled up.
