As you can see below, I have Asdrubal Cabrera at SS. I also have Hak-Ju Lee and Jurickson Profar as prospects. My original plan was to wait for Lee and Profar to develop, and choose one as my SS of the future. But I'm starting to consider trading Jurickson, as I've been getting many offers for him. Is he worth keeping, even though I have Lee and Asdrubal?
I'm in a 20-team H2H Cats dynasty where you keep 25 of 29, and start one of each position plus a util, 5 starting pitchers and 5 relievers.
C. Ryan Doumit 1b. Adrian Gonzalez 2b. Howie Kendrick 3b. Evan Longoria Ss. Asdrubal Cabrera Lf. Desmond Jennings Cf. Adam Jones Rf. Hunter Pence Util. Cameron Maybin Be. Jean Segura Be. Ryan Sweeney Be. Alex Presley Be. Jurickson Profar Be. Hak-Ju Lee Be. Brent Morel Be. Wilin Rosario DL. Victor Martinez
Sp. Yovani Gallardo Sp. Jordan Zimmermann Sp. Brandon McCarthy Sp. John Danks Sp. Jeff Niemann Rp. Jordan Walden Rp. Frank Francisco Rp. Mike Adams Rp. Darren Oliver Rp. Joel Peralta Be. Brian Matusz Be. Taijuan Walker Be. Ryan Dempster
I'd trade Lee if you can get another mid-level prospect back at another position. A lot of Lee's value is tied up in his glove - he projects to be well above-average defensively. He's got quick hands and he's fast, but he doesn't project to have more than gap power. Best case, Elvis Andrus. Worst case, Cliff Pennington. Jurikson Profar is a far superior prospect even though he's likely 2 years away. His game basically has no flaws, and he's only 18 years old. A lot can happen in two years, but Profar projects to be a franchise player - think 20/20, .285+ while playing an excellent SS.
Profar is worth hanging on to - however if you do get a great offer for him, it might make sense to move him. You are not hurting at SS and it makes sense to trade one of your 3. What kind of offers are you getting?

Some of them have been - Trumbo and Venable - Trumbo and Oswalt - Henderson Alvarez - Fernando Salas
Didn't necessarily like any of those. Trumbo and Venable/Oswalt got my attention though.
All of those are an easy pass. Venable is a 3rd OF at best, Oswalt is too old to hold value in a dynasty. Trumbo has power but that's it, also PT issues and atrocious plate discipline.
Profar is a potential franchise cornerstone; think Starlin Castro with more power/speed and less chance of hitting .300 (but still a chance). Either trade him for someone with similar potential or a very, very solid MLB piece, someone in the 50-75 ranked player range.
For example, Profar for Sergio Santos and Jayson Werth (just examples) would be an easy pass for me. Profar for Madison Bumgarner I'd probably go for. So something in that range.
I would deal Hak Ju Lee for a young catcher and your team is pretty much set. You could also use one more arm but you have a solid team for such a deep league. Your entire offense doesn't have a single hole in a single position, you have multiple closers, two low end aces, I just do not see a glaring weakness other than catcher. See if you can move Hak Ju Lee for a catcher like Ramos, Salvador Perez or Devin Mesoraco.
The best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

Not nearly enough for Profar. Don't move Profar unless you feel like you get slapped in the face with a ridiculously good offer.
I would try to move Lee for a pitcher. I was going to say Walker, but you already have him...Hulzten? Paxton? I'm sure there is someone out there that would trade you a decent pitcher for Lee. True he does have a lot of value tied into his glove, but he has 30 SB speed and potential to hit for avg.
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
Not opposed to trading either but I would have to blown away at this point. They can just as easily sit on your roster for the next 3 years. As the years go by, the offers for Profar should keep going up so just wait it out.
