Votto and Lester for...

Keeper league. H2H each. 7x6 (walks, total bases, quality starts) We keep up to 14 guys or get compensated with draft picks.

My keepers: Votto, Kinsler, Beltre, Bourne, Choo, Lester, Pineda, Ortiz

My Question: Should I trade Votto and Lester for Hosmer, Heyward, Haren, and Beachy?

Votto must be even more of a stud in your league (+BBs and +TBs). I would be quite reluctant to part with Votto in any league and even more so if I owned him in yours. You should pass imo.

I would pass as well, though I suppose it depends on where you're at. Do you hope to win this year? If so, keep Votto. However, that is a nice package of players to get if you are thinking of rebuilding and don't wish to go the draft pick route. I figure that Lester and Haren are a wash, so that makes the trade Votto for Hosmer, Heyward, and Beachy. I would be very tempted to do this if this team was getting rebuilt.

If you wish to do this trade, I would ask for one more piece for Votto. Leave Lester out of it if you could (thus ignoring Haren). Votto for Hosmer/Heyward/Beachy/something might be too good to pass up in a keeper league.

Why all of those guys could be studs and upgrades over your last 3 keepers, there is no way I could take this trade. Way too many question marks. Maybe you deal for one or two and a 2nd round kind of player but you need to get something more certain than these guys.
