Freeman or J. Zimmerman

Postby MrT » Tue Mar 13, 2012 1:46 pm

In 12 team , $260 mixed 5 x5, 23 man roster. Keepers are for this year only. Each team can keep 5.

Who would you keep Jordan Zimmerman (Pitcher) at $10 or Freddy Freeman at $1.

This may sound nuts, but even if the prices were reserved (i.e., Freeman for 10 and Zimm for 1) I'd still go with Freeman.

There are a ton of pitchers out there that can be had on the cheap, but I think Freeman takes a BIG step this year into the middle tier of 1B. Braves lineup is solid, and I think he's going to be a poor man's Paul Konerko, which is odd because Paul Konerko is essentially the poor man's Paul Konerko.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

You're right. It does sound nuts.

That said, Freeman at a buck is better value than Zimmermann at $10. I love Zimmermann this season, but that is roughly market value for him ($10-15).

On the surface, no question Freeman at $1. Whats the rest of your roster look like though? Who else are you keeping?

;-D Pretty easily. I like Zimmermann but Freeman is really good too.
