I actually like Balfour a lot--who else could take the closing role in Oakland?
Balfour will post a better WHIP and ERA than the other 3 most likely, although he'll miss out on K's most likely. I'd rather go with the guy who will help me in WHIP and ERA (especially WHIP) over anyone else.

Thanks for the feedback. I like Balfour as well, but you have Devine and Fuentes who could take over on a misstep.
My other problem is Ichiro is still out there and I need a MI. I don't think one of these closers will make it back to me though. or do I just forget getting a 3rd closer. I have Putz and Bell. MI's that are available are: Neil Walker Kipnis Dee Gordon y. Escobar peletra Emilio Bonifacio scurato
Ichiro would be a back up OF, I am thinking I need an MI and will risk on a closer. I think Bonifacio maybe the choice.
Bonifacio by leaps and bounds. With Guillen as the skipper, they're going to run, and Emilio could go for 60-70 SBs. He should also top 100 runs with the bats that will be hitting behind him.
In a very, VERY distant second place will be Dee Gordon.
And, I wouldn't really be that concerned about Fuentes or Devine.

Is Frank Francisco or Javy Guerra still out there?
I would prefer Thornton from those closers (but would take either of the two above before him). The White Sox have the best chance of being a solid club, IMO. Hopefully, you have a deeper bench can could add an Addison Reed or Jesse Crain in the event that Thornton fails. I personally am staying away from the Oakland situation. Balfour looks and talks the part, but you could certainly make a case for Devine if he's healthy. He's a dark horse there.
I would take Ichiro before the closers though. Batting third this season will increase his RBI totals. He appears to have altered his approach a little from last season. I usually avoid him, but at this juncture of the draft he should not be available. If you miss out on the closers begin to look at would-be closers in a few rounds. Like the guys I mentioned above (Reed & Crain) along with Vinnie Pestano, David Hernandez (later), etc.
