I'm three years into a keeper league and need help deciding who my final keeper will be. The league format is as follows:
We have 5 categories for hitters and 5 for pitchers - R, RBI, SB, OBP, Slug pct W, S, K, ERA, WHIP
Each weekly category is a win that counts toward a season total.
I can keep 5 players. So far, I've kept:
- Albert Pujols - Cliff Lee - CC Sabathia - Curtis Granderson
I'm trying to decide between Matt Latos, Carl Crawford, and Jason Heyward as my final keeper (note: I also have Stephen Strasburg, but I'm assuming I should just drop him).
In addition, this is a league with a salary cap for a 25 player roster, half of which is being taken up by Pujols, Lee and Sabathia.
Well, I'd prefer to know what the dollar amounts are for each of the three players, because that is a very important consideration.
For instance, I would imagine Latos is the least expensive keeper, so that's tempting. But Carl Crawford is still a stud in my mind, and we're going to see him bounce back in a big way.

I don't trust crawford, especially with his wrist injury still being a factor. That could really impact his swing
Heyward has great potential. I think that he is the real deal, and just suffered some growing pains last year at the plate, hes in for a solid year, and the fact that the OF position is pretty thin at the top doesn't hurt!

OF is perhaps the deepest position there is by my calculations...Heyward is too much of a question mark for me to be willing to invest in him that much yet. Again, if I knew the dollar amounts, things would be different. Obviously if it's Crawford for 30 or Heyward for 5, I'd go with Heyward for 5...but if the dollar amounts are much closer, I think I'd go Crawford.
And, as for the other poster, Strasburg isn't even an option...
