So Fangraphs released their best bullpens list this morning, and it got me thinking about potential starters, and perhaps a crude way to find an elusive stat in fantasy, wins.
http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index.ph ... -pitchers/I decided to take that a step further and see if any of the worst bullpens also had the worst defenses. I ranked Team Defenses by DRS and UZR/150 for 2011, and for 2010-2011 and then matched them up with the FG Bullpen ranking. Here is what I found. I'd love to hear your thoughts on any borderline pitchers this might effect.

Interesting. I wonder if there is a more in depth look at the effect that bullpens and defence have on SP wins. As it is this info can be used as a tie breaker when picking between two similarly valued pitchers. Ballpark effect still trumps defence/bullpen though, right?
Here's the pitch on the way, a swing and a belt! Left field! Way back! BLUE JAYS WIN!
