Bonifacio or Colby as last keeper?

Postby pjtroy34 » Sun Mar 11, 2012 3:12 pm

12 team 3-year keeper league; can keep 10 players, only one that was drafted/kept from top 5 rounds from last year.
Top 5 move up 1 round from last year, all others 2 rounds, FA take 18th round and up (17th, 16th, etc).
H2H weekly 6x6 roto; additional cats of BB-KO hitting, L, SV+HD.
C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, (4) OF, UTIL, (4) SP, (2) RP, (1) P, (8) BENCH

The players I am keeping are:
Votto (1st at 11th pick)
Cruz (5th, last yr)
Wainwright (11th, 1st yr)
Luebke (15th, 1st yr)
Storen (16th, 1st yr)
Stanton (17th, 2nd yr)
M. Moore (18th, 1st yr)
Hosmer (21st, 1st yr)
Lawrie (22nd, 1st yr)

Last spot I'm debating Bonifacio (14th, 1st yr), Colby (20th, 2nd yr), or keep nobody.
Between 110 and 120 players are kept...keep Boni as someone I can potentially start at SS or OF4 or Colby as a matchup SP?
Each has their negatives (Boni with BA; Colby loves to give up bombs), but each has their positives as well (Boni's flexibility and SB potential; Colby gets to face the A's and Mariners a lot, solid WHIP, and most likely W).

I also have Walden and Jarrod Parker who could take the 14th round, but that seems foolish.

Thanks.

I would take Bonifacio. Colby Lewis is a decent get at round 20 but Bonifiacio has more upside and can help you fill many positions. I would give up the few rounds to gain the flexibility that Bonifacio gives you.

Yeah. I don't trust Lewis to be anything above a decent back-end starter, and you can easily get that at Round 20 considering how deep pitching is.

I'd say Bonifacio for flexibility purposes, not to mention I think he's on the rise.

Bonifacio + Ozzie Guillen = 70 SBs

Thanks.
(In reference to an Aaron Hill for David Price swap)

I think Walden becomes a elite closer.
10.70 career K/9.
Bonifacio over Lewis.
ZIPS has him for 31 SB.
