Edmonds or Pujols

Who do you think has the best outlook for this year:

Edmonds or Pujols

I'm trying to get a trade going for Kent and either Edmonds or Pujols for Glavine and Spivey? What do you think?

In terms of absolute stats, I'd give the nod to Edmonds. Pujols has more value if you factor in positional scarcity, though (assuming he qualifies at 3b).

If you can in fact get Kent and one of those two for Glavine + Spivey, I'd certainly do it. Glavine is excellent, but two solid upgrades would make the deal worthwhile. Good luck!

Well, they were not excited about the trade for either Pujols or Edmonds. I wanted to offer:

Junior Spivey and Germino Gil

for

Jeff Kent

They currently have Varatek and Fick as catchers so I think it would be an upgrade. I have Ivan Rodriguiez coming off the dL soon. What do you think?

It never hurts to talk trade, but I imagine the other guy would stick with Varitek and Fick in this case. All three of these catchers are in roughly the same tier.
